Module 2-2
Breaking apart the standard
My fifth graders complete a unit about the legality of burning CDs and copyright laws. The students need to be made aware
of the difference between common practice and the law. Many students believe that is perfectly acceptable to burn a copy of
a purchased CD and give that copy to a friend. Discussion centers on acceptable use and illegal use.
